For June 1, 2023, the most recent material of Álgebra Lineal appears, which is titled, Ometéotl. This conceptual album, almost an hour long, touches on some of the main aspects of the cosmology of our ancient pre-Hispanic peoples, such as the Legend of the five suns, the primordial god, Ometéotl and his four sons, the four Tezcatlipocas and the creation of the earth. The style is oriented towards progressive ethnorock showing some influences from characters as the great Luis Pérez, La Tribu, Antonio Zepeda and Jorge Reyes, although the material is more focused on rock than on New Age, meditational music or pre-Hispanic healing music.
The composition was carried out by Gabriel Martínez, with the exception of songs 8 and 10, which are co-authored with Jaime García, the guitar solo of song 10 is also by Jaime. All lyrics are by Gabriel. On this occasion, the person in charge of the narrative voices was carried out by Daniel Cruz "Atlas".
.- Ometeotl. He was the first manifestation of divinity among the ancient pre-Hispanic peoples, a god of double nature, masculine-feminine from which all the subsequent cosmogony of those peoples arose. As in most ancient cultures, this god was partially forgotten by the cult of more commercial gods such as some of his sons, Quetzalcóatl and Tezcatlipoca.
.- Red Tezcatlipoca. Xipe Totec. Firstborn son of Ometéotl. This god was born skinned and for this reason his cult was the bloodiest of all since those sacrificed were skinned alive.
.- Black Tezcatlipoca. Tezcatlipoca. The second son of Ometéotl was Tezcatlipoca, he was the most violent of all, he was born black and with jaguar fangs. He protected wizards, young people, exceses and warriors. The obsidian mirror of him had the quality that whoever saw himself reflected in it could see himself as he really was.
.- White Tezcatlipoca. Quetzalcoatl. The next son after Tezcatlipoca was Quetzalcóatl. It is known to almost everyone that this was the god of wisdom and of emperors. He was always a kind god, who had a tragic end by throwing himself into a bonfire to atone for a carnal offense with his sister.
.- Blue Tezcatlipoca. Maquizcoatl/Huichilopoztli. The fourth son of Ometéotl was known as Maquizcóatl or the Lord of the Bone, since he was born half-body emaciated. When the Aztecs took control, this god was replaced by Huichillopoztli, thus relegating the original Maquizcóatl to a minor god represented as a two-headed serpent.
.- The hunt for Cipactli. When Quetzalcóatl and Tezcatlipoca were still getting along, their first job was to create the earth, for which they set about hunting the sea monster, Cipactli. Tezcatlipoca cut off his foot to use as bait and thus attract the beast. Once hunted and killed, with the body of the animal they created the earth, the heavens and the underworld.
.- Sun of Water. The problems between these two brothers began to arise when it was decided to create the sun. Both brothers entered into constant skirmishes to achieve this end, making five attempts to create the sun and later destroy it (with everything and the inhabitants of the earth); the first of them was the sun of Water.
.- Sun of Wind. After another fight between brothers, the sun of water was created and destroyed and later they created the sun of wind to be later destroyed with everything and its inhabitants, which were turned into monkeys.
.- Sun Fire. After the creation of the fiery sun, it and humanity were also once again destroyed by lava showers. The survivors were turned into turkeys.
.- Earth Sun. The fourth sun was the earth sun and apparently was not destroyed. When the Aztec empire flourished in its entirety, there was also talk of a supposed destruction of this sun to justify the arrival of the sun that would govern this tribe, we refer to the sun of movement.
.- Sun of Movement. After the establishment of the Aztec empire. The creation of the fifth sun, the sun of movement, was imposed as justification. Despite the power of that people, they knew that the fifth sun was also going to be destroyed by an earthquake.
